Cellule staminali adipose: un nuovo approccio rigenerativo nelle malattie metaboliche e nel diabete

Adipose stem cells: A new regenerative approach in metabolic diseases and diabetes

In recent decades, metabolic diseases have reached epidemic proportions, significantly impacting quality of life and healthcare costs and highlighting the urgent need for new therapeutic strategies. Adipose-derived stem cells (ASC) offer promise for regenerative medicine due to their differentiation potential and paracrine activity. Preclinical and clinical studies suggest their therapeutic potential in diabetes and its complications. This work reviews ASC properties, molecular mechanisms, and recent clinical applications, addressing key challenges for their widespread use.
